Membership News Please Note: We regret that we have had to postpone the members' movie screening originally sheduled for August 25. Soon we will be screening the movie Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark in the California Plaza. All members are welcome to join us for a free, family-friendly evening. Watch your mailbox for information about the new date. Thank you to all of our wonderful Museum of Man members! It is with your support and membership that we are able to fund such exciting exhibitions and unique educational programs. Our long-term members have been supporting the Museum year after year, and it is a direct result of their interest and passion for the Museum that we are able to succeed. Welcome to all of our new members — we look forward to seeing you at the Museum often, and to building a lasting relationship with you.We are proud to be presenting several fun members’ events in the coming months. We are looking forward to the third annual El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration on November 2, 2008. We are currently accepting applications from artists who would like to create a Day of the Dead altar in front of the Museum for public view. Please contact the Museum at (619) 239-2001 ext. 23 for more information about either of the upcoming members’ events or to submit an application to create an altar. The Museum has many programs and events scheduled for the next few months and our offices are getting busier and busier with mailings, data entry, and phone calls. We are looking for volunteers to assist the Museum at events such as exhibition openings, educational programs, and Tower After Hours as well as in the office with clerical tasks.
